Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Silva might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ice Ice Baby. Anderson Silva has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Cooper wants to clinch up but Silva keeps it at a distance.
Silva closes the distance and clinches.
Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cooper wants to clinch
and Silva counters with a stiff right hand.
Cooper shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Cooper. Cooper gets slowly back to his feet.
Cooper closes the distance looking to clinch
and Silva counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cooper tries to clinch up
and Silva counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Silva. Cooper does a little dance to reset his feet.

Cooper shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense.

Cooper throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cooper darts in and clinches Silva up against the ropes.

Cooper is trying desperately to land a takedown but Silva is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Cooper.

Cooper takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
This has been an exciting period of action!
No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Silva lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cooper backs up against the ropes.
Silva is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Silva misses with a head kick.
Silva throws a right and a left that both miss.
Silva lands a nice shot to the body.

Silva ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Silva moves into the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A short right hand to the side of the head by Silva.
Silva digs a right hand into Cooper's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Cooper's gas tank.
Silva manages to break the clinch.
Silva connects with a looping right hand.
The fighters circle momentarily. Silva darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Silva dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Silva scores with the left hand. Cooper knows he should have avoided that one.
Silva uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cooper has time to react.
Cooper is rocked!

and Silva counters with a nice right hand that sends Cooper toppling to the canvas! Cooper scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Silva finish him?!

Cooper avoids the head kick by Silva.
Cooper seems to have recovered his senses.
Silva lands with a hook. Cooper tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Silva lands a big right hand that sends Cooper crashing to the mat! Silva stays standing though and waves Cooper back to his feet!
Silva lands a jab to Cooper's midsection.
Cooper slips under a jab from Silva.
Silva is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cooper can do to turn this around?
Silva fails to land with a series of punches.
Cooper takes one to the chin there.
Cooper looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Cooper persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
Cooper is breathing heavily.

and Silva cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Silva cracks Cooper with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Silva has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Cooper to stand back up!

Anderson Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Silva lands with a hook. Cooper tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Silva scores with a hook to the body. Cooper takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Silva lands with a straight right. Cooper didn't see that one coming.
Silva lands a left and a right that send Cooper crashing to the mat, dazed. Silva thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Silva cracks Cooper with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Cooper tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Silva pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Cooper is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anderson Silva!
