Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deiter Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Kleinsasser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Melvin Kleinsasser enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Deiter Myers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Melvin Kleinsasser! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Igor Prikhodko and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kleinsasser closes this distance looking for a takedown but Myers circles away. Kleinsasser closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Myers wants to improve his position but Kleinsasser is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Myers looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kleinsasser is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Myers is not content to let Kleinsasser control the position. Myers tries to kick Kleinsasser off in order to stand up. Kleinsasser Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Myers manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kleinsasser's best efforts. Kleinsasser thows a huge punch but Myers dodges it nicely.
Kleinsasser seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Myers does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Myers works his way to full guard. Good work. Kleinsasser decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Myers, up you get! Myers with a poor takedown and Kleinsasser counters with a head kick. Myers shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kleinsasser decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Myers's guard. Myers is breathing heavily. Kleinsasser throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Myers wants to get back to his feet but Kleinsasser is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kleinsasser stays in close to Myers's body and controls the position. Myers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kleinsasser scoring with some ground and pound. Myers trying to keep a closed guard but Kleinsasser is proving a slippery customer.
Myers looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kleinsasser is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kleinsasser gets to his feet - Myers follows without any prompting. A head kick by Myers misses and Kleinsasser counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kleinsasser has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kleinsasser scoring with some ground and pound. Kleinsasser wants to control from the top but Myers keeps moving. Myers doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Kleinsasser working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kleinsasser trying to control the position from guard on top but Myers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Myers had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kleinsasser is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Myers Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kleinsasser's back instead. Kleinsasser just trying to survive but Myers is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Myers working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Kleinsasser manages to reverse the position and now he's in Myers's guard. Nice work there by Kleinsasser.
Myers wants to sweep but no luck. Myers looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kleinsasser wants to control from the top but Myers keeps moving. Kleinsasser prevents Myers from getting back to his feet. Myers is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Myers is trying to keep Kleinsasser in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kleinsasser seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Myers looking for a guillotine here but Kleinsasser defends easily.
Myers looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Myers can't keep his opponent in guard - Kleinsasser advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Melvin Kleinsasser dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Myers plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Kleinsasser fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Myers. Kleinsasser has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kleinsasser breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Myers doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kleinsasser counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Myers throws a head kick that misses. Kleinsasser misses with a takedown and Myers counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Myers. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kleinsasser is on top in guard.
Kleinsasser controls from within his opponent's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kleinsasser gets to his feet. Myers looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Kleinsasser gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
That's one minute gone in the round. A body shot lands from Kleinsasser.
Kleinsasser manages to break the clinch.
Kleinsasser fails with the takedown. Kleinsasser wants to clinch. Myers moves in looking to clinch but Kleinsasser pushes him off. Myers gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kleinsasser counters with a straight right hand. Myers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Myers drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kleinsasser pushes Myers off and gets back to his feet.
Myers shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kleinsasser counters by moving into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Deiter Myers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kleinsasser prevents the takedown attempt.
Myers is working for takedown but Kleinsasser is calmly controlling the position for now. Kleinsasser drops down looking for an ankle pick but Myers pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Myers scores a takedown into full mount! Kleinsasser taking shots to the head. Myers pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Myers with a couple of short strikes. Myers raining down shots from the mount!
Kleinsasser is rocked! Deiter Myers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Myers lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Kleinsasser is still in real trouble! Can Myers finish him? Kleinsasser tries to hold on but Myers postures up. Kleinsasser is bucking up trying to escape but Myers cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Myers jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kleinsasser is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kleinsasser and Myers has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Kleinsasser seems to have recovered his senses. Kleinsasser is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Myers off and has taken his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kleinsasser lands shots from the back. Kleinsasser looking for the choke from the back. Kleinsasser tries to keep control of the position but Myers is staying busy. Kleinsasser is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Myers with him. Myers is trying to defend but Kleinsasser has an arm under the chin now! Myers grimaces and is forced to tap out!
