Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Crosby Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shibukawa Gouki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Oh Canada. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Davis.

Davis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Davis throws a jab but it's blocked by Gouki.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gouki uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Davis.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gouki postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Davis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gouki, into his guard.
Davisis looking to pass into half guard but Gouki pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Gouki is in guard.

Davis misses with a head kick.
Gouki tries to clinch up but Davis circles away and keeps his distance.
Davis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gouki circles away quickly and effectively.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Davis is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Davis is trying to escape the mount but Gouki keeps good control and instead manages to take Davis's back.
Gouki looking to break Davis's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Davis remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Gouki will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Shibukawa Gouki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
