The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jennings shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. SPIKE closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jennings did well to prevent SPIKE getting side control. SPIKE is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jennings is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of SPIKE's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take SPIKE's back! Jennings patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Jennings keeps control of the position as SPIKE tries to break free.

SPIKE trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. SPIKE is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Jennings is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Jennings is breathing heavily. SPIKE has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jennings is working away from the top position though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jennings shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. SPIKE is trying to defend but Jennings finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jennings is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. SPIKE doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jennings. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. SPIKE trying to control here.
Jennings is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. SPIKE kicks off Jennings and gets to his feet. Jennings tries to keep at a distance but SPIKE has taken the fight into the clinch. SPIKE works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. SPIKE has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jennings is proving hard to escape from. Jennings had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. SPIKE defends it easily. SPIKE's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. SPIKE stands up from Jennings's guard - SPIKE perhaps looking for a knockout. SPIKE has taken the fight to the clinch.
SPIKE manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. SPIKE is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jennings is pushing down on SPIKE's leg trying to pass to half guard. SPIKE is fighting to maintain full guard but Jennings has managed to sneak the leg through. Jennings is trying to control the action in half guard but SPIKE is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
LITTLE SPIKE dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
SPIKE shoots in and bounces Jennings off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. SPIKE drops back looking for a leg! Jennings is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jennings manages to kick SPIKE off! SPIKE jumps back into Jennings's guard. SPIKE controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Jennings looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. SPIKE postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jennings is really struggling to control SPIKE but he's trying to hold on to the position. SPIKE stands up from guard. Let's bang! Jennings doesn't succeed with the takedown and SPIKE counters with a nice double leg into guard. SPIKE is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. SPIKE is looking to stand up but Jennings won't let him. SPIKE trying to control the position from guard on top but Jennings is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jennings is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jennings is working hard here to advance position. SPIKE thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jennings trying to keep a closed guard but SPIKE is proving a slippery customer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. SPIKE throws a series of punches but Jennings avoids them all with ease.
That's three minutes gone in the round. SPIKE gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jennings to score an easy takedown into full guard. Jennings trying to control but SPIKE is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jennings looking to sit in guard and control but SPIKE gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. SPIKE is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's four minutes gone in the round. SPIKE scoring with punches to the head and body. Jennings is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jennings has a closed guard, preventing SPIKE from standing up. Jennings pulls SPIKE in close to his closed guard and prevents SPIKE from doing any damage or advancing position. Jennings might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. SPIKE got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jennings has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, SPIKE has managed to get both his arms back between Jennings's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
LITTLE SPIKE showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Jennings gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and SPIKE holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. SPIKE pulls Jennings into guard.

Jennings drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but SPIKE manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jennings has SPIKE in his guard. SPIKE's corner is telling him to maintain position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. SPIKE is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Jennings looking to hit a scissor sweep but SPIKE is one step ahead there. SPIKE thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jennings looking for a guillotine here but SPIKE defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jennings throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jennings closes the distance but SPIKE moves to the side and SPIKE decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jennings's guard. Jennings working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from SPIKE. Jennings is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jennings has his foot on SPIKE's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. SPIKE works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. SPIKE is working Jennings over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Jennings is working an open guard so SPIKE takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. SPIKE clinches up against the cage. Jennings tries to circle away but SPIKE has him pinned against the cage. Jennings is trying to work for a single leg takedown but SPIKE pulls him back up using the underhooks. SPIKE pulls guard effortlessly. Jennings trying to move into half guard but instead SPIKE has managed to sweep! Jennings is looking to stand up but SPIKE isn't so interested in that idea. Jennings not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bobby Jennings has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! SPIKE is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jennings working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. SPIKE doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Jennings is tightening it up a little... SPIKE has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! SPIKE reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! SPIKE taps out! nice BJJ there by Jennings!
