Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grounden Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Grounden Pound!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bryan Robertson!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pound tries to clinch but Robertson is having none of it.
Pound misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Pound throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Robertson's waist but Robertson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pound off to one side.
Robertson works the jab nicely.
Robertson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nice straight punches there by Robertson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Robertson.

Robertson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Robertson wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Grounden Pound. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Robertson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Robertson throws a right hand that Pound ducks under and follows up with a left that Pound also avoids with ease.
Pound shoots for a double leg takedown but Robertson sprawls well. He's pushed Pound's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Robertson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Robertson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pound kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Robertson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Poundis looking to pass into half guard but Robertson pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Robertson is in guard.

Pound is controlling Robertson's posture.
Robertson trying to control but Pound is working from the bottom.
Pound wants to sweep but no luck.
Pound manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Robertson manages to get himself to full guard.
Robertson wants to sweep here but Pound controlling him for the moment.
Robertson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pound is working to get back to half guard.

Robertson wants to control but instead Pound manages to regain half guard.

Robertson wants to pass the guard but Pound is defending well.
Pound on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pound tries to get out of the position.
Robertson is keen to just control but Pound is a slippery customer.
Pound has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Robertson is working away from the top position though.
Pound controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Robertson not landing any meaningful shots this time.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Robertson throws a series of strikes that have Pound backpedaling.

Pound closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

That was a close round but I would say that Grounden Pound will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Pound gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
No luck for Pound with that takedown attempt.
Robertson throws a nice looking combination but Pound bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Robertson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Grounden Pound seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pound blocks a low kick nicely.
Nice uppercut lands for Robertson. That snapped Pound's head back.
Pound will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Robertson throws a push kick but Pound slaps the foot to one side.
Pound shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Robertson as he avoids it easily.

Robertson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pound moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Robertson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pound's head backwards.

Robertson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pound.

Robertson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Robertson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pound doesn't seem bothered though.
Pound looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Robertson is working the combinations to good effect here.
Robertson cracks Pound with an open hand slap.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pound.

Pound takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Robertson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pound on the side of the head.
Pound tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Robertson swivels and escapes.
Robertson throws a series of strikes that have Pound backpedaling.

Robertson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A jab from Robertson finds it's way through Pound's defenses.

Pound changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Robertson tries to avoid it but Pound manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Robertson to the ground. Robertson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Robertson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Robertson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Bryan Robertson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Pound shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Robertson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Pound walks into a left hand.
Pound takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Robertson drops Pound with a beautiful combination! Pound stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Robertson is looking for the KO!

Robertson drops Pound with a big left hand! Pound is injured, injured bad! Robertson jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
