Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roy Hook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randall Swain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swain has chosen Lunatic Fringe as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roy Hook! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Randall Swain! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swain shoots for a double leg takedown but Hook sprawls well. He's pushed Swain's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Nice straight punches there by Swain. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Swain. Hook thumps Swain with a low kick. Swain moves forwards but Hook connects with a nice, crisp jab. Hook fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Swain manages to avoid it. Hook scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Swain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hook's waist but Hook gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Swain off to one side. Swain shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hook as he avoids it easily. Roy Hook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randall Swain. Swain drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hook struggling a bit here. Swain trying to control the position but Hook is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. An elbow from Swain crashes against the mat.
Hook tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Swain wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Swain trying to control the action but Hook is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Swain in side control lands a decent elbow. Swain landing a few strikes. Hook is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Swain's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Swain wants to pass the guard but Hook is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Swain passes to full mount! Swain misses with a head shot. Swain looking to ground and pound but Hook is blocking nicely. Poor strikes thrown by Swain there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Hook is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Swain lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Hook hang on? Swain is landing with some decent strikes but Hook is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Swain thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hook is looking to get to half guard. Hook avoids a series of strikes thrown by Swain.
Swain throws some wild stikes that Hook manages to avoid easily.

Swain lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Hook tries to get back to half guard but can't. Swain scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Hook?
This has been an exciting period of action! Swain punishing his opponent with strikes. Swain looking to finish Hook with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hook! Hook can't escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Poor strikes thrown by Swain there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Randall Swain dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Hook throws a hook but Swain blocks it. A decent looking cross lands there for Hook. Swain shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hook but Hook pushes him off and we're back to square one. Swain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hook's waist but Hook gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Swain off to one side. No luck for Swain with that takedown attempt. Roy Hook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randall Swain. Swain tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hook was well out of range. Poor timing from Swain. Swain fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hook tries to close the distance and clinch but Swain swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swain shoots in for a takedown but Hook shows good takedown defense. The fight stays on the outside here - Hook looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nice defenses there by Swain. Hook tries to clinch but Swain is having none of it. Hook wants to clinch. Hook fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Swain is out of range. Swain fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hook throws a low kick, looking for Swain's leg but Swain calmly moves out of range. Hook tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Swain paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hook misses with a hook. Swain ducked under it nicely. Swain fails to land the takedown. Swain misses with the combination.
Roy Hook is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hook feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Swain's calf. Hook wants to clinch. Roy Hook is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swain shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hook but Hook pushes him off and we're back to square one. Swain lands a right hook to the body.
Hook throws a combination that misses and Swain cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Swain looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hook throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Swain fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hook avoids it really well and circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice inside leg kick there by Hook. That's going to slow Swain down. A big right from Hook misses. Hook throws a lazy right hand but Swain sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hook gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Swain working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Swain trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Hook manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Swain lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hook! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roy Hook dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Swain checks the leg kick. Swain defending well as Hook loads up on a big left hand. Swain looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Swain lands strikes from half guard. Hook is controlling Swain's position as best he can from this difficult position. Swain throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swain throwing shots but Hook is blocking nicely. Swain wants to pass to mount but Hook is defending the position. Swain seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Swain throws a strike but Hook avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Swain missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Swain throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hook works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Swain pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hook is keeping the position for now. Swain is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Swain thows a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hook avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hook preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Swain feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Swain throws a strike but Hook rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Swain keeping moving, preventing Hook from controlling successfully. Hook chips away with some ground and pound. Hook won't allow Swain to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hook lands a couple of digs. Hook preventing the sweep. Swain takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hook has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Swain checks a leg kick. Hook jabbing away but nothing is landing. A clash of legs there as Swain blocks the low kick. Swain cracks Hook with an open hand slap. Nice takedown defense from Hook. No joy for Swain on that attempt. Hook jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Danga de danga de dang - Swain scores with a four punch combination! Hook looks to clinch and Swain counters with a nice uppercut. Hook misses with an uppercut. Swain saw that one coming. Hook throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Swain sees it coming and avoids it easily. Swain ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Swain waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hook. Hook misses the jab. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hook jabbing away but nothing is landing. Hook lands a glancing blow to the side of Swain's head.
And that's the end of the fight! Randall Swain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Swain has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
