The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko throws a series of punches but D Amico avoids them all with ease.

D Amico drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

D Amico creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Emelianenko sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Emelianenko had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. D Amico defends it easily.

D Amico fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Emelianenko avoids it really well and circles away.
D Amico lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Emelianenko avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Emelianenko looks to score with a jab to the body but D Amico is just out of range.
D Amico thuds his right hand into Emelianenko's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

That was a close round but I would say that Anthony D Amico will probably get the nod.

Emelianenko catches D Amico napping and connects with a big right hand that sends D Amico to the canvas!

Emelianenko lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt D Amico quite badly. D Amico pulls Emelianenko in close trying to recover. Emelianenko postures up and lands two really hard shots that put D Amico on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but D Amico doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
