Hawkins fails to land the takedown.

Hawkins takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Hawkins throws a head kick but Martinez moves out of range.
Martinez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Martinez scores with a shot to the body.
Martinez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hawkins sprawls well initially but Martinez persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hawkins tries to roll over but Martinez keeps him under control.

Martinez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hawkins swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Martinez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hawkins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Martinez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Martinez is breathing heavily.

Hawkins throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Hawkins can't keep his opponent in guard - Martinez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Martinez scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
