Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Estrada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riko Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Estrada comes to the cage accompanied by Alice in Chains - Man In The Box . Riko Sanchez has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jose Estrada's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Estrada throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sanchez.
Sanchez misses with a series of wild punches.
Estrada stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Estrada wants it to stay on the feet.
Estrada defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sanchez.
Estrada lands with a kick to the temple. Sanchez shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Sanchez lands with a hook. Estrada tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Estrada tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sanchez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sanchez uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Estrada has time to react.
Sanchez darts in and clinches Estrada up against the cage.

The referee calls for Estrada to work.
Sanchez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sanchez tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jose Estrada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riko Sanchez.
Estrada tries to land a knee to the head but Sanchez blocks with his arms.

Estrada tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sanchez just stands there and leans against the cage.

A bit of stalling here from Estrada.

Estrada throws a head punch that misses.
A short body shot lands from Estrada as the two fighters clinch.
Estrada jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sanchez walks away with a smile on his face. Estrada gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Sanchez counters with a nice body kick.
Estrada closes the distance but Sanchez moves to the side
and Sanchez counters with a shoot takedown. Estrada fights it but they end up in guard.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Estrada keeps moving.
Estrada trying to keep a closed guard but Sanchez is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Estrada is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sanchez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Sanchez looking to sit in guard and control but Estrada gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Estrada gets to his feet. Sanchez looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Estrada tries to clinch there but Sanchez circles away.

and Sanchez counters with a shoot takedown. Estrada fights it but they end up in guard.

Sanchez tries to free his leg and advance position but Estrada is retaining full guard.
Estrada avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Sanchez has gone for a leg lock! Estrada slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sanchez's guard.
Estrada might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sanchez is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Estrada pulls Sanchez in close to prevent any damage.
Estrada is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sanchez is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Estrada keeps moving.
Estrada looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Riko Sanchez will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Sanchez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Sanchez slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sanchez looking to improve position, pressing down on Estrada's thigh with his hand. Estrada seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Sanchez paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Sanchez's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Estrada picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
