Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Uldis Bauska! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Traktor Chain! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Chain. No joy for Bauska on that attempt. Bauska fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bauska throws a combination. Chain tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Bauska tries to clinch up but Chain circles away and keeps his distance. Chain throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bauska counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bauska won't allow Chain to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chain pushes Bauska off and gets back to his feet.
Chain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bauska shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Chain manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Bauska stands up from guard. Let's bang! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bauska tries to clinch there but Chain circles away.

Traktor Chain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bauska wants to clinch and Chain counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bauska's guard now. Bauska working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Chain. Chain won't allow Bauska to sweep him here. Chain keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bauska's head. Bauska avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bauska is breathing heavily. Chain trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Chain chips away with some ground and pound. Bauska preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Chain postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Chain working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bauska's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chain is looking to stand up but Bauska won't let him. Chain gets to his feet - Bauska follows without any prompting.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chain closes the distance but Bauska moves to the side and Bauska moves into the clinch. Chain lands a knee to the body.

Bauska shoots in for a takedown but Chain shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Uldis Bauska. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bauska gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Chain to score an easy takedown into full guard. Chain won't allow Bauska to get back to his feet. Chain wants to control from the top but Bauska keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chain stands up from Bauska's guard - Chain perhaps looking for a knockout. Chain closes the distance and clinches. Chain landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Chain lands with a punch from half guard. Chain has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Chain working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chain stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Chain gets a takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chain prevents Bauska from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bauska is not content to let Chain control the position. Chain escapes and gets back to his feet. Chain tries to clinch but Bauska moves out of range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chain misses with a takedown attempt - Bauska sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bauska tries to keep at a distance but Chain has taken the fight into the clinch. Chain lands a nice knee to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Traktor Chain dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Chain scores with a push kick. Chain closes the distance but Bauska moves to the side and Bauska counters by moving into the clinch. Chain lands a nice knee to the body. Chain pulls guard. Bauska has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Chain has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Bauska off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Chain shoots in but no luck this time. Bauska displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chain. Chain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bauska's waist but Bauska gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chain off to one side. Uldis Bauska has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Traktor Chain. Chain circles away from the clinch attempt.
Chain dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bauska defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chain. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bauska clinches but Chain breaks the clinch and Chain counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bauska!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bauska tries to hold on but Chain pushes him away. Chain controlling the position easily from mount. Bauska is looking to improve his position but Chain isn't that keen on the idea. Chain lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bauska in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Chain landing punches. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Chain cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Chain looking to secure an arm triangle but Bauska defends it well. Chain working Bauska over with strikes here. Bauska is trying desperately to improve position. Chain lands a big elbow. Chain is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bauska can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bauska tries to lock up and control but Chain gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Traktor Chain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Chain is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Bauska taking some punishment here, with Chain in his half guard. Chain looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bauska with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Bauska wants to control the action here but instead Chain manages to pass to full mount! Traktor Chain has got the better of the ground game so far. Chain connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
