The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bhuda throws a front kick aimed at Silva's knee but Silva avoids it well.
Bhuda throws a right and a left that Silva avoids nicely.
Bhuda tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
Silva slips a jab and a cross from Bhuda.

Bhuda darts in and clinches Silva up against the cage.
Bhuda pushes off an throws an elbow but Silva leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Bhuda breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Silva feints and then cracks Bhuda's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bhuda down.

Bhuda pivots, looking for a leg kick but Silva is out of range and Bhuda settles back down.

Good leg kick by Bhuda there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Bhuda thuds his right hand into Silva's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Silva is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bhuda had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Bhuda bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Silva's head.

Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bhuda tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bhuda to the ground. Bhuda escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Silva looks to score with a jab to the body but Bhuda is just out of range.
Bhuda throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Silva on the side of the head.

Silva ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Silva no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Bhuda has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
