The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monfriesz waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hansen.
Monfriesz swinging wildly here.
Monfriesz throws a jab but it's blocked by Hansen.
Hansen is looking to clinch but Monfriesz is avoiding it.
Nice body punch from Monfriesz.
Hansen wants to clinch up but Monfriesz keeps it at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hansen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hansen moves in looking to clinch but Monfriesz pushes him off.
Monfriesz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hansen is trying to defend but Monfriesz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Monfriesz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hansen is just riding it out for now. Monfriesz eventually gives up the hold.
Monfriesz works his way into side control.
Hansen wants to control but Monfriesz postures up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Monfriesz has hold of Hansen's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hansen tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Monfriesz cranks the arm and Hansen screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hansen, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
