Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ramon Kinsetta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luiz Izecson! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Izecson lands a nice shot that snaps Kinsetta's head back.
It looks like Ramon Kinsetta has been cut. Kinsetta gets a clinch. Kinsetta tries to break free but Izecson pushes him back against the cage. Kinsetta manages to break the clinch.
Kinsetta fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Izecson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kinsetta manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Izecson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kinsetta is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kinsetta working a defensive guard here.
Izecson tries to free his leg and advance position but Kinsetta is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kinsetta trying to keep a closed guard but Izecson is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Izecson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Kinsetta is controlling Izecson's position as best he can from this difficult position. Izecson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kinsetta does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kinsetta is trying to get back to full guard. Kinsetta has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Izecson is working away from the top position though. Kinsetta tries to get to full guard but Izecson has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Izecson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kinsetta sees it coming and defends easily.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Izecson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kinsetta is looking to improve his position.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kinsetta works his way to full guard. Good work. Kinsetta has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Izecson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Izecson trying to control but Kinsetta is working from the bottom. Izecson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Kinsetta will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kinsetta has his hands on Izecson's head, controlling the position. Izecson wants to stand but Kinsetta is controlling his posture from full guard. Kinsetta keeping moving, preventing Izecson from controlling successfully.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Izecson looks to score with a jab to the body but Kinsetta is just out of range.

Kinsetta keeps control of Izecson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Izecson is working for takedown but Kinsetta is calmly controlling the position for now. A battle for position here, against the cage. Kinsetta pulls guard successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Izecson throws a series of punches but Kinsetta avoids them all with ease. Izecson is breathing heavily. Izecson tries to close the distance and clinch but Kinsetta swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kinsetta shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Izecson counters with an outside leg kick.
Kinsetta drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Izecson keeping moving, preventing Kinsetta from controlling successfully. Kinsetta preventing the sweep. Izecson looking to control.

Izecson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kinsetta's guard. Kinsetta is looking to control Izecson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kinsetta avoid being mounted? Izecson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kinsetta makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kinsetta.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kinsetta pulls Izecson in close to his closed guard and prevents Izecson from doing any damage or advancing position. Kinsetta not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kinsetta is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Izecson is controlling him. Kinsetta preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Izecson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Kinsetta fights it but they end up in guard. Izecson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Izecson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Izecson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Izecson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Izecson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kinsetta is looking to escape. Kinsetta wants to control but Izecson is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kinsetta is trying to stand but he's just given Izecson his back. Izecson really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Kinsetta. Izecson missing with strikes. Izecson looking for the RNC. Ramon Kinsetta has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Luiz Izecson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Izecson is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
