Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Lebouf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darren Willington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Lebouf! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darren Willington! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lebouf gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Willington to score an easy takedown into full guard. Willington stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lebouf swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lebouf is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Willington stands and throws Lebouf's legs to the side, diving into side control. Lebouf is trying to escape the position but Willington is controlling the position. Willington is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lebouf knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Willington is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lebouf's shoulder. That is not cool. Willington tries for a kimura but Lebouf is defending well. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Willington scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Lebouf manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Willington is pressing down on Lebouf's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lebouf is holding on for now. Lebouf looks like he's trying to stand up.

Lebouf misses with a takedown attempt and Willington counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lebouf's guard now. Lebouf controls Willington momentarily but Willington frees himself. Willington content to stall in guard here. Willington drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Willington jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lebouf wants to improve his position but instead Willington has moved into half guard.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Willington jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lebouf working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Willington. Lebouf wants to sweep here but Willington controlling him for the moment. Willington wants to control from the top but Lebouf keeps moving. Willington advances to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Willington is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Willington seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Let's hope that Willington has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Willington thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lebouf's head. Willington missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Willington working Lebouf over with strikes. Willington perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Willington slips a nice elbow through Lebouf's hands, connecting with Lebouf's forehead. Willington working over Lebouf with some ground and pound. Lebouf looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Willington is pressing down on Lebouf's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lebouf is holding on for now. Lebouf avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Willington. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darren Willington showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
