Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Pee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michaels comes to the cage accompanied by MC Hammer - Hammer Time. John Michaels could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Anthony Pee's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Michaels! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Pee! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Michaels feints and as Pee raises his hands in defense, Michaels changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Michaels throws a big right hand that misses. Michaels chips away with some ground and pound. Michaels postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pee is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Michaels, into his guard. Pee tries to free his leg and advance position but Michaels is retaining full guard. Michaels wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Pee is now in half guard. Michaels gets back to full guard.
Michaels escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Michaels is on top in guard.
Michaels wants to stand and escape but instead Pee has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Pee wants to pass the guard but Michaels is keeping the position. Pee would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Pee trying to control but Michaels is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Michaels doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Michaels tries to land a sweep but no joy. Michaels can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pee controls the pace. Pee preventing the sweep.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Michaels feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pee looks gassed! Michaels is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pee is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pee has escaped and now he's on top! Michaels tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pee wants to get up but he can't break Michaels's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Michaels working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Pee has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Michaels is proving hard to escape from. Pee postures up.
Michaels has his hands on Pee's head, controlling the position. Michaels throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Michaels tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pee wants to control from the top but Michaels keeps moving. Michaels looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Michaels throws his legs up looking for a submission but Pee uses it to pass to side control.
Michaels lands an elbow from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Michaels dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Michaels closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Michaels looks up at the clock and then as Pee takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Michaels smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Pee tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Michaels wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Michaels advances to mount. Michaels is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Pee can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Michaels jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Pee is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Pee and Michaels has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Michaels prevents Pee from escaping the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michaels looks up at the clock and then as Pee takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Michaels smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Michaels is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pee has escaped the position, nice work there. Pee gets back to half guard. Michaels winds up and cracks Pee with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Pee trying to control but Michaels postures up.
Pee wants to improve his position but Michaels is controlling well.
John Michaels overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pee has one foot on Michaels's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Pee with a lazy takedown attempt and Michaels counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pee! Michaels goes for an armbar but Pee turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Pee. Pee has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Michaels is proving hard to escape from. Michaels bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pee's guard. Michaels thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Michaels is working Pee over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Michaels gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Michaels clinches up against the cage. Michaels is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Pee gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Pee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Michaels shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Michaels trying to control but Pee is working from the bottom. Michaels drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Michaels jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Michaels throws and elbow that misses. Pee uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Michaels's guard. Nice move by Pee! Michaels trying to strike off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Michaels keeping moving, preventing Pee from controlling successfully. Michaels escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Michaels has his feet on Pee's thighs here. He's pushed Pee off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Pee screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
