Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Ness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordie Randal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Ness! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gordie Randal! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Randal shoots in for a takedown but Ness shows good takedown defense. Randal feints and as Ness raises his hands in defense, Randal changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Randal drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Randal jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Randal trying to control the position from guard on top but Ness is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ness throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Ness working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Randal doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Randal manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ness wants to hit a switch here but Randal passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Ness there! Randal blocks Ness's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Randal has control of Ness's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ness regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Randal takes Ness's back. Ness tries to roll but Randal sticks to his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ness turns into Randal and is now in his guard.
Ness chips away with some ground and pound. Randal keeping moving, preventing Ness from controlling successfully. Randal had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ness is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Randal Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ness's back instead. Ness is in bad spot here.
Ness manages to reverse the position and now he's in Randal's guard. Nice work there by Ness.
Ness knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Randal on the ground. Randal looks gassed! Ness cracks Randal with a solid left hand. Randal wants to stand but Ness is controlling the position. Ness content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Ness makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Ness distracts Randal with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Ness is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ness postures up and lands a big shot to Randal's brow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Randal keeping moving, preventing Ness from controlling successfully. Ness is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Randal utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ness looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ness throws a strike but Randal rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Ness on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ness tries to get out of the position. Randal trying to control but Ness is working from the bottom. Randal preventing the sweep. Ness throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy. Randal seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ness is on top in guard.
Ness makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ness scoring with some ground and pound. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Ness passes Randal's left leg - he's now in half guard. Ness is pressing down on Randal's thigh, looking to free his foot. Randal is holding on for now. Ness works his foot free and advances to mount. Ness fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Randal tries to hold on but Ness postures up. Ness scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Randal?
Ness punishing his opponent with strikes. Ness is working for a guillotine from mount but Randal frees his head quite easily.
Ness connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Randal is looking to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ness wants to control the pace but Randal is squirming around nicely. Ness putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Randal is rocked! Ness cracks Randal with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Randal is still in real trouble! Can Ness finish him? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ness wants to stand but Randal is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ness trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Ness dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Nice sprawl there from Ness as Randal shoots in. Randal shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ness shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Ness slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Ness lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Mike Ness!
