Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Duarte Howard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Blanc!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard takes a swing at Blanc's ribcage but misses.
Blanc avoids the body shot from Howard.
Blanc shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Howard pinned against the cage. Howard gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Howard connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Blanc momentarily.
Howard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Blanc gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Howard to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Blanc is rocked!
Howard wants to pass the guard but Blanc is keeping the position.
Blanc is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Howard defends well.
Blanc looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Howard controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Howard wants to stand but Blanc has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Howard works over Blanc with some ground and pound from guard.
Howard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blanc on the ground.
Howard controls from within his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Howard has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Blanc looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Howard has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Blanc is proving hard to escape from.
Howard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Blanc looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Howard wanted to stand there but Blanc had control of the position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Howard fails with a takedown attempt.
Howard shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blanc sprawls well. Blanc wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Howard gets slowly back to his feet.
Howard misses with a series of wild punches.
Blanc misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Duarte Howard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blanc avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Blanc dodges the punch combination from Howard.
Blanc is looking to clinch but Howard is avoiding it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Howard with a jab.
Blanc looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Duarte Howard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricardo Blanc.
Howard throws an overhand right that has Blanc reeling! Howard follows up with more punches and Blanc is out cold! This one is all over!
