The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ue looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ue misses with the combination.
Ue drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ue tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard.
Silva trying to control the position.
Ue stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Silva looking for a guillotine here but Ue defends easily.
Ue postures up in Silva's guard and throws a big left but Silva blocks it.
Ue trying to move into half guard but instead Silva has managed to sweep!
Ue is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ue is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Silva is posturing up here but Ue has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Silva tries to roll out but it's too tight and Silva has to tap! Slick submission there by Ue!
