Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rob Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ALDOUS SNOW (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rob Lewis could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to ALDOUS SNOW's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rob Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, ALDOUS SNOW!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from SNOW does no damage.

SNOW fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lewis sprawls well initially but SNOW persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
SNOW wants to pass the guard but Lewis is defending well.
Lewis wants to get back to his feet.

SNOW is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lewis is just riding it out for now. SNOW eventually gives up the hold.
SNOW prevents Lewis from improving his position.
Lewis keeping control of the position.

SNOW works his way into side control.
SNOW throws a strike aimed at the side of Lewis's head but Lewis avoids it well.
SNOW is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
SNOW is looking to take a break and control but Lewis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
SNOW looking to control but instead Lewis has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
SNOW wants to free his trapped foot but Lewis is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lewis looks like he's trying to stand up.
Lewis is trying to get back to full guard.
Lewis is staying active underneath SNOW, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Lewis trying to control but SNOW postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Lewis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with SNOW, pushing him back against the cage.

SNOW drags the fight down to the ground.
SNOW is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Lewis trying to control but SNOW is working from the bottom.

Lewis gets to his feet. SNOW looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Lewis is breathing heavily.
Lewis shoots in for a takedown but SNOW shows good takedown defense.

SNOW gets in close and instigates a clinch.
SNOW tries to pull guard but Lewis holds him up against the cage and eventually SNOW drops back down to his feet.
Lewis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. SNOW just stands there and leans against the cage.
SNOW prevents Lewis from breaking the clinch.

Lewis can't break the clinch.
SNOW stalling in the clinch.
Lewis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rob Lewis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

SNOW is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lewis is just too persistent for him and manages to trip SNOW to the mat. SNOW regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

SNOW is adopting a defensive guard.

Lewis has gone for a leg lock! SNOW slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lewis's guard.

SNOW gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
SNOW shoots in looking for a takedown. Lewis tries to sprawl out of it but SNOW keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lewis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
SNOW shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lewis pinned against the cage. Lewis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Lewis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in SNOW's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rob Lewis will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


SNOW tries to clinch up

and Lewis holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
SNOW looking to stall.
Lewis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. SNOW just stands there and leans against the cage.
SNOW is trying to stall.
SNOW is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Lewis has denied him.
Still in the clinch, Lewis scores with a nice short uppercut.
SNOW gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lewis.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lewis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. SNOW just stands there and leans against the cage.

SNOW tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lewis paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lewis throws a lazy right hand but SNOW sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Lewis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but SNOW avoids it really well and circles away.

SNOW darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Lewis flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Lewis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. SNOW is working away from the top position though.

Lewis is trying to stand.
Lewis wants to improve his position but SNOW is controlling well.
SNOW not doing much here.
SNOW tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Lewis.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lewis wants to get back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Lewis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as SNOW sprawls well. SNOW wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lewis gets slowly back to his feet.
SNOW throws a head kick that Lewis semi-blocks.
SNOW buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

and SNOW counters with a three punch combo that has Lewis backing up. Lewis nods at SNOW to acknowledge the strikes.
SNOW lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lewis backs up against the cage.
SNOW defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lewis.
SNOW throws a head kick that half lands.

A left and a right from SNOW both land. Nice combination.
Lewis shoots for a takedown but SNOW saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and SNOW counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
SNOW is taking a breather. Lewis says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Lewis is defending against the submission attempts here by SNOW.

SNOW keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

ALDOUS SNOW showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Lewis shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. SNOW manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
SNOW wants to sweep but no luck.
Lewis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
SNOW controlling the position.
Lewis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Lewis stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Lewis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lewis landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Lewis trying to control the position but SNOW is working away.
Lewis tries to move to mount but SNOW blocks the move with his legs.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Lewis tries for a kimura but SNOW is defending well.

Lewis is trying to get an arm triangle but SNOW is defending well.
SNOW is trying to control Lewis's posture but Lewis avoids it.
Lewis working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
SNOW is looking to regain half guard here but Lewis keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lewis connects with a single shot there.
SNOW tries to move into range but Lewis moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A bone on bone clash there as Lewis blocks the leg kick.
SNOW misses with an attempted mid kick.
Lewis throws a big shot that misses.
Lewis lands with an overhand left.
Lewis tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and SNOW counters with a nice leg kick.
SNOW clinches but Lewis breaks the clinch

and Lewis counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lewis.
SNOW is adopting a defensive guard.
Lewis throwing strikes but missing.

Lewis postures up.
Lewis trying to control the position from guard on top but SNOW is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lewis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
SNOW utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A nice inside leg kick there by SNOW. That's going to slow Lewis down.
Lewis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
SNOW tries to clinch but Lewis is having none of it.
SNOW feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lewis's calf.
SNOW looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lewis is fending him off so far but SNOW persists. Nope, Lewis circles away and we're back to standing.

Lewis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lewis lands a nice short elbow.
Lewis wants to control but SNOW is keeping him busy.

Lewis is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lewis takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rob Lewis showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Lewis has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
