Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Berbick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anthony Berbick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robbie Rock! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berbick misses with the combination.
Berbick misses with a few strikes there.
A combination from Berbick does no damage. Rock tries to close the distance and clinch up but Berbick swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rock, right into the meat.
Berbick throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Berbick throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rock takes one on the chin but seems OK.
It looks like Robbie Rock has been cut. Berbick misses with a straight right. Rock is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rock thows a body shot but no joy. Rock is looking to clinch. Anthony Berbick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Berbick lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rock circles away quickly and effectively. Berbick throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Berbick avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rock pushes Berbick up against the cage in a clinch. Berbick gets underhooks to prevent Rock's takedown attempt.
Rock jumps guard and drags Berbick to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Berbick working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Berbick trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Berbick postures up.
Berbick tries to free his leg and advance position but Rock is retaining full guard. Berbick scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Rock is looking to stand up but Berbick isn't so interested in that idea. Berbick pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rock is keeping the position for now. Berbick stands up over Rock, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Berbick prevents Rock from getting back to his feet. Berbick passes Rock's left leg - he's now in half guard. Berbick is nestled in close to Rock, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Berbick looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rock with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Berbick not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berbick throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Berbick seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rock does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Rock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Berbick. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rock is looking to escape. Rock is not content to let Berbick control the position. Berbick working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Berbick wants to pass to mount but Rock is defending the position. Rock is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Berbick has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Berbick misses with a series of wild punches.
Berbick throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rock. Rock fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Berbick avoids it really well and circles away. Berbick blocks a low kick nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rock misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Berbick throws a series of punches but Rock avoids them all with ease. Rock moves in looking to clinch but Berbick pushes him off. Rock cracks Berbick with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Berbick swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rock counters with a single leg into guard. Berbick didn't expect that. Rock looks gassed! Rock working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Berbick looking for a triangle here. Rock is fighting it but it looks tight! Berbick pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Rock is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Anthony Berbick!
