The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by le fay.
le fay is trying to get an arm triangle but Chavez is defending well.
le fay sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Chavez is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
le fay is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Chavez has escaped the position, nice work there.
le fay thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
le fay is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chavez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

le fay is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Chavez has escaped the position, nice work there.
Chavez is looking to regain half guard here but le fay keeps moving and retains side control.
