Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Justus Crona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas de Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crona comes to the ring accompanied by Timbuktu, Det kommer til och ordna seg. Lucas de Santana will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Justus Crona! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas de Santana! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from de Santana as Crona shoots in. Crona closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Crona lands in his opponent's guard. Crona with a flurry of punches that miss. Crona stops de Santana from standing up. de Santana preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Crona advances position into side control! Crona throws a strike aimed at the side of de Santana's head but de Santana avoids it well. de Santana is trying to control Crona's posture but Crona avoids it. Crona working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crona is looking to take a break and control but de Santana is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. de Santana is looking for a sweep. Crona fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Crona wants to control but de Santana is keeping him busy. Crona is trying to get an arm triangle but de Santana is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Crona decides to stand up, so the ref orders de Santana to his feet. Crona swats away the attempt to clinch by de Santana. Crona closes the distance and clinches up with de Santana, looking for a takedown. Crona pushes de Santana against the ropes but de Santana circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Crona shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. de Santana defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justus Crona. That's going to take a lot out of him. de Santana tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Crona paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lucas de Santana is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Crona looks for a takedown but de Santana sprawls well. de Santana lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Crona circles away quickly and effectively. de Santana tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Justus Crona seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crona looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? de Santana is fending him off so far but Crona persists. Nope, de Santana circles away and we're back to standing. The fight stays on the outside here - de Santana looks like he's thinking about clinching though. de Santana stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and de Santana wants it to stay on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. de Santana wants to clinch. de Santana wants to clinch. de Santana tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Crona paws at him with a jab and circles away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Crona fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Crona shoots in but de Santana avoids the takedown attempt easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justus Crona dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Crona moves out of range of the body kick. de Santana keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Crona scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. de Santana is trying to control Crona's posture but Crona avoids it. Crona is trying to get an arm triangle but de Santana is defending well. de Santana really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crona. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. de Santana wants to control but Crona postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. de Santana parries the strikes from Crona easily there. Crona is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable de Santana to escape.
de Santana is not content to let Crona control the position. Crona wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by de Santana, who protects the arm well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Crona prevents de Santana from escaping the position. Crona tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. de Santana looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. de Santana defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Crona. de Santana throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
de Santana tries to bum rush Crona with a series of wild strikes but Crona uses good footwork to avoid the assault. de Santana tries to clinch there but Crona circles away.

de Santana rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Crona moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Crona tries to clinch up but de Santana circles away and keeps his distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. de Santana throws a right and a left that Crona avoids nicely. Crona has closed the distance and engaged de Santana in a clinch.
de Santana is trying to break free. Crona has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. de Santana avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justus Crona. That's going to take a lot out of him. de Santana gets underhooks to prevent Crona's takedown attempt.

Crona is trying to work for a single leg takedown but de Santana pulls him back up using the underhooks. Crona has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. de Santana is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. de Santana can't break the clinch.
de Santana lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes. de Santana is looking to break free of the clinch but Crona has double underhooks.

Crona drops down looking for an ankle pick but de Santana pulls his leg out and moves away.
Crona circles away from the clinch attempt and Crona counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. de Santana throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
so Crona counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Crona is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. de Santana looking for a sweep. Not yet de Santana, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justus Crona dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
de Santana misses with a few strikes there.
de Santana tries to clinch but Crona moves out of range. Crona keeps the fight on the outside. de Santana rushes Crona and presses him up against the ropes. Crona is trying to work for a single leg takedown but de Santana pulls him back up using the underhooks. Crona has de Santana pressed against the ropes, preventing de Santana from circling away and getting back to striking at range. de Santana prevents the takedown attempt.

Crona tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Crona shoots in for a takedown but de Santana shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. de Santana closes the distance looking to clinch and Crona counters with a shoot takedown. de Santana fights it but they end up in guard. Crona trying to control the position from guard on top but de Santana is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crona looking to pass the guard. Crona stopping the sweep attempt from de Santana. Crona is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! de Santana is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! de Santana has escaped and now he's on top! Crona looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Crona has his foot on de Santana's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. de Santana works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. de Santana lands a couple of decent looking shots. Crona keeping moving, preventing de Santana from controlling successfully. de Santana looking to pass the guard. Crona looking for a guillotine here but de Santana defends easily.
Lucas de Santana has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! de Santana sitting in guard here, content to control. de Santana trying to control the position from guard on top but Crona is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. de Santana wanted to stand there but Crona had control of the position. de Santana postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Crona dives in and grabs de Santana's left leg, looking for a takedown. de Santana pushes down on Crona's head and hops out. de Santana misses with a double jab
and Crona counters with a takedown into side control. de Santana wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. The strikes coming from Crona are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Justus Crona is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. de Santana is not content to let Crona control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Justus Crona showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Crona, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
