PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ruscle Muscle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Bond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Muscle comes to the cage accompanied by DMX's- Where My Dogs At. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ruscle Muscle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Bond!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muscle misses with a wild combination.
Bond stuffs the takedown attempt from Muscle. Muscle gets slowly back to his feet.
Oooh a lovely combination from Bond sends Muscle down but not out. Bond dives into side control looking to finish.
Muscle is rocked!
It looks like Ruscle Muscle has been cut.
Muscle manages to work his way to half guard, despite Bond's best efforts.
Oh Muscle is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bond tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Muscle.
Muscle is looking to control Bond's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Muscle avoid being mounted?
Bond decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Muscle seems to have got his legs back now.
Bond catches Muscle with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bond lands a nice shot that snaps Muscle's head back.
Muscle scores with a takedown into Bond's guard.
Muscle working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bond's head.
Muscle advances position into side control!
Muscle is chipping away with strikes.
Muscle working away.
Bond is working to avoid the ground and pound but Muscle connects with a decent elbow.
Muscle working the ground and pound from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Muscle connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bond some visible discomfort.
Bond tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Muscle wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Muscle postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Muscle wants to control but Bond is keeping him busy.
Bond is trying to get back to his feet.
Muscle working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Muscle lands a nice forearm strike.
Muscle working the ground and pound.
Bond is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Bond is looking for a sweep. Muscle is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Muscle is looking to advance position but Bond won't allow it.
Bond is trying to maintain the position but Muscle is very close to passing his half guard.
Bond is trying to stand.
Bond looks gassed!
Muscle works his way into full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Muscle lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Bond taking shots to the head.
Bond is squirming around, avoiding Muscle's attempts to control the action.
Bond is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Bond wants to control but Muscle is having none of it.
BOOM! Muscle connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Bond can't escape the position.
Muscle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Muscle pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Muscle looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

The referee warns Bond that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Bond is rocked!
Muscle is landing with some decent strikes but Bond is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Bond is still in real trouble! Can Muscle finish him?
Muscle lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Muscle looking to finish Bond with some ground and pound. This is bad for Bond!

Muscle is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Muscle lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Muscle punishing his opponent with strikes.
Muscle working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Bond turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Muscle off and cradles Bond's limp body as Muscle celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Ruscle Muscle!
