Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Russell Brand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodolfo Pancrazio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Brand might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Russell Brand and Katie Perry. Rodolfo Pancrazio is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Russell Brand!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rodolfo Pancrazio!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brand is looking to clinch.

Pancrazio shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pancrazio was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Pancrazio misses with a head shot.
Pancrazio trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Brand is trying to escape the mount.
Brand wants to hold on but Pancrazio pushes him away.
Pancrazio looking to control but Brand is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Pancrazio might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Brand kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Pancrazio wants to control but Brand has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
Pancrazio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brand. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pancrazio stands up and beckons Brand to join him on the feet.
Brand doesn't manage to clinch there - Pancrazio circles away.
Brand throws a right and a left that both miss.
Brand really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Brand counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Brand circles away from the clinch attempt

and Brand counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Pancrazio tries to roll over but Brand keeps him under control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Brand throwing shots but Pancrazio is blocking nicely.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Brand seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pancrazio does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Brand in particular looking to stall.

Brand is working for a submission of some sort.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Brand tries to land a leg kick but Pancrazio saw it coming and moves away.

Brand cracks Pancrazio with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Brand moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Pancrazio has worked his arm free - good work by Pancrazio!
Pancrazio tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brand wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pancrazio is trying to buck Brand off.
Pancrazio tries to improve position but can't.
Brand tries to advance to mount but can't.
Brand wants to control but Pancrazio is keeping him busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pancrazio tries to bench press Brand off him but Brand keeps the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pancrazio closes the distance but Brand moves to the side

and Brand counters with a single leg into guard. Pancrazio didn't expect that.

Pancrazio wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Brand manages to pass to side control.
Brand passes to full mount!

Pancrazio tries to improve his position but instead Brand has taken his back!

Pancrazio covers up after that shot from Brand.
Pancrazio can't escape the position.
Brand will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Brand advances to full mount.
Brand can't control as he wanted to and Pancrazio manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Pancrazio is looking to control Brand's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pancrazio avoid being mounted?
Pancrazio is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Brand is staying active.

Pancrazio is trying to get back to half guard.
Brand wants to control but Pancrazio is keeping him busy.
Pancrazio tries to buck Brand off but Brand is having none of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Brand takes a little break here. Pancrazio wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Pancrazio is looking to regain half guard here but Brand keeps moving and retains side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Pancrazio throws and low kick but Brand moves out of range easily.
Pancrazio looks to clinch
and Brand counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Pancrazio lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pancrazio.

and Brand counters with a shoot takedown. Pancrazio fights it but they end up in guard.

Rodolfo Pancrazio has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Russell Brand is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Pancrazio has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brand can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brand, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
