Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between JIM Hatter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davis Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hatter comes to the ring accompanied by Rastamon Vibration. Davis Black has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hatter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Black.
Hatter uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Black has time to react. Black showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hatter.
Hatter takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Davis Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Black throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Black throws a right and a left that both miss. Hatter bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Black's head. Black tries for a takedown but Hatter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hatter misses with a hook. Hatter throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Black gets the takedown into side control. Hatter is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Black tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Black scoring with punches from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hatter tries to escape but Black is in control. Black wants to control but Hatter is keeping him busy. Hatter is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Hatter taking punishment in the form of punches.
Hatter avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Black. Black remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Hatter wants to get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Black moves out of range of the strikes. Black closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hatter circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Black drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Black drives through with a takedown into guard. Hatter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Black is controlling him. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Black accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Black throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hatter works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Black throwing strikes from guard but Hatter blocks nicely. Black is looking to work some ground and pound but Hatter has wrist control. Black won't allow Hatter to get back to his feet. Black throwing strikes but missing. Hatter wants to stand but Black is controlling the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Hatter takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Black bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Black swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Black shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hatter napping and manages to drive through into side control! Black looks up at the clock and then as Hatter takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Black smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Hatter pushes Black away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Black gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Black misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Hatter dodges the ground and pound from Black. Hatter wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Black scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hatter to see if he's OK. Black in side control, throwing shots but Hatter defends. Black postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Hatter takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Black has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hatter is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Black is controlling him well. The ground and pound from Black seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Black. Hatter parries the strikes from Black easily there. Black is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hatter to escape.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Black lands with a cross. Black looks to land a combination. Hatter sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Hatter looks to land a right hand but Black moved out of range. Black tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hatter was well out of range. Poor timing from Black. Nice defenses there by Black. Good leg kick by Hatter there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hatter looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hatter with a jab. Hatter stuffs the takedown. JIM Hatter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davis Black. Black dives in and grabs Hatter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hatter pushes down on Black's head and hops out. Hatter throws a half hearted mid kick. Hatter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Hatter wants to get back to his feet.

Black tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Hatter paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hatter bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Black's head backwards. Hatter misses with a straight left. Hatter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Davis Black dominated that fourth round. That's time! Hatter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Black is looking to work some ground and pound but Hatter has wrist control. Hatter avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hatter keeping moving, preventing Black from controlling successfully. Davis Black has got the better of the ground game so far. Hatter wants to stand up but Black is controlling him.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hatter throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Black fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Hatter scores with a jab to the head.

JIM Hatter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hatter misses with a series of wild punches.

and Hatter counters with a three punch combo that has Black backing up. Black nods at Hatter to acknowledge the strikes. Black moves away from the strike by Hatter. Hatter stuffs the takedown. Black fails with a takedown attempt. Hatter throws a hook but Black blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Hatter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Black shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Black punishing his opponent with strikes. You get the feeling that Hatter really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Black lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Hatter's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Black has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hatter's face.
Black swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hatter is now in Black's guard. A big mistake from Black there, giving up the dominant position! Hatter preventing the sweep. Black avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hatter looking to pass the guard. Black is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hatter defends well. Hatter tries to stand but Black is controlling from the bottom. Davis Black is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hatter is fighting to break Black's control of his arms but Black is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Black bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hatter's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Davis Black comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Black has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
