Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mela shoots in but colby avoids the takedown attempt easily.
colby throws a big shot that misses.
Mela tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mela misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
colby could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mela misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Heikki Mela seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mela scores with a one two! colby had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
colby looks to land a right hand but Mela moved out of range.
colby moves out of range of the body kick.
colby displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mela.
Mela tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but colby was well out of range. Poor timing from Mela.
Mela shoots in and drives through. colby sprawls well.

Mela fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but colby avoids it really well and circles away.

colby has control of Mela's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mela regains control of the situation pretty easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
colby has his foot on Mela's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mela works his way back into a safe position though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mela jumps guard but colby stands there with Mela around his waist. Mela gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Poor strikes thrown by Mela there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Jake colby is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
