Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nate Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Fedor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watson comes to the cage accompanied by skillet - hero. Tim Fedor struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 206.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nate Watson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tim Fedor! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fedor pinned against the cage. Fedor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Watson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fedor as he avoids it easily. Watson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Fedor scores with a takedown into Watson's guard. Watson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Watson has his foot on Fedor's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fedor works his way back into a safe position though. Fedor throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Watson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Fedor has gone for a leg lock! Watson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fedor's guard. Fedor has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Watson doesn't defend quickly enough and Fedor has managed to lock this one up! Can Watson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Fedor on a fantastic submission victory.
