5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Reggie Haidar! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grabowski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Haidar.
Grabowski fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Some wild striking there from Haidar.

It looks like Mieczyslaw Grabowski has been cut. Haidar scores with a decent looking hook. Haidar gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Grabowski to score an easy takedown into full guard. Grabowski content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Grabowski prevents Haidar from getting back to his feet. Grabowski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Grabowski is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Grabowski throwing strikes but missing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Haidar leaves Grabowski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Haidar lands a nice looking body shot.

Grabowski tries to score a power double leg takedown but Haidar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Grabowski somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mieczyslaw Grabowski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Haidar waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Grabowski. Haidar tests Grabowski's chin there with a solid looking shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Haidar misses with an uppercut. Grabowski saw that one coming. No joy there for Haidar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Haidar. Grabowski is breathing heavily. Grabowski has his head snapped back a nice jab. Haidar lands with a hook. Grabowski tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Haidar jabs Grabowski right on the nose. Grabowski blinks but takes it well. Haidar lands a nice shot that snaps Grabowski's head back.
Mieczyslaw Grabowski's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Haidar scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Grabowski doesn't seem bothered though. Grabowski ducks under a wild hook from Haidar. Grabowski is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Reggie Haidar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Haidar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Grabowski circles away quickly and effectively. Grabowski takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Grabowski moves away from the strike by Haidar. Grabowski takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Jeez, Mieczyslaw Grabowski's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Haidar is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Grabowski had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Grabowski on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Haidar lands with a hook. Grabowski tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mieczyslaw Grabowski's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
