Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Kruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and LeRoy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kruger comes to the cage accompanied by The Kurgan. LeRoy Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Victor Kruger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, LeRoy Johnson! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kruger scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Johnson swings for the body but Kruger moves out of range.
Kruger shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense. Kruger tries to clinch up. Johnson closes the distance and clinches up with Kruger, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes Kruger against the cage but Kruger circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. LeRoy Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kruger avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kruger punishes Johnson's body with a nice straight punch. Kruger fails in his attempt to clinch. Kruger lands a nice leg kick that just misses Johnson's sensitive parts. Johnson looks gassed! Kruger thuds a left hand into Johnson's body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kruger shoots in but no luck this time. Johnson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Johnson has Kruger pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kruger manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Kruger fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Victor Kruger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Kruger tries for a takedown. No joy.

Johnson fails with the takedown and Kruger counters with a good, hard body kick but Johnson shrugs it off. Kruger moves into the clinch successfully.
Kruger has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Johnson uses from the top position. Johnson looking to pass the guard. Kruger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground. Johnson sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kruger wants to stand up but Johnson is controlling him. Kruger escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Johnson content to stall in guard here. Johnson gets to his feet - Kruger follows without any prompting. Kruger with a lazy takedown attempt and Johnson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kruger!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kruger is working to get back to half guard.
Kruger in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Johnson stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Johnson takes a kick to the side of the head. Johnson tries to clinch but Kruger moves out of range. Kruger throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Johnson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. This has been an exciting period of action! Johnson moves forwards but Kruger connects with a nice, crisp jab. Kruger clinches but Johnson breaks the clinch and Johnson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kruger! Kruger tries to control Johnson's body but Johnson pushes him off. Kruger squirms to his side and now Johnson has his back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kruger tries to escape but Johnson has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Johnson is persistently looking for the submission but Kruger is defending it well.
Kruger manages to reverse the position and now he's in Johnson's guard. Nice work there by Kruger.
Johnson is trying to control the position but Kruger postures up. Johnson has a closed guard, preventing Kruger from standing up. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Johnson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kruger wants to get up but he can't break Johnson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Victor Kruger will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kruger shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Johnson is looking to get to half guard. Kruger with shots to the head and body - Johnson looks very uncomfortable down there. Kruger trying to control but Johnson is having none of it. Johnson is trying to escape the mount.

That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson is squirming around, avoiding Kruger's attempts to control the action. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kruger cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Kruger tries to control but Johnson wriggling away. Kruger connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
BOOM! Kruger connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kruger lands with some strikes. Johnson controls the position. Kruger prevents Johnson from getting the reversal. Johnson bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Kruger keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Johnson works over Kruger with some ground and pound from guard. Johnson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Johnson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Johnson prevents Kruger from getting back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson pushing down on Kruger's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Johnson decides to stand up. Johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Johnson trying to pass the guard but Kruger defending well. Johnson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson prevents Kruger from standing back up.
Kruger on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kruger tries to get out of the position. Kruger tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Johnson manages to move to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Johnson is working for a guillotine from mount but Kruger frees his head quite easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson shoots in for a takedown but Kruger shows good takedown defense. Kruger scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Kruger is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Victor Kruger will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Johnson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Kruger lands a nice hook to Johnson's body. Johnson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Kruger scores with a hook to the body. Johnson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Kruger lands with a kick to the temple. Johnson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Johnson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kruger counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Johnson tries for a takedown but Kruger sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Johnson avoids the head kick by Kruger.

Kruger shoots and misses and Johnson counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Johnson in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Kruger is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
