Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matheus Mendes!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackman shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mendes is trying to defend but Jackman finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Mendes is refusing to be controlled, as Jackman sits in half guard.

Jackman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mendes defends it well.

Mendes wants to stand and escape but Jackman is having none of it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Jackman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Mendes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mendes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jackman is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Mendes shoots for a double leg takedown but Jackman sprawls well. He's pushed Mendes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jackman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mendes but Mendes pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mendes tries to clinch up but Jackman circles away and keeps his distance.

Jackman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mendes sprawls well initially but Jackman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mendes wants to control but Jackman is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Mendes is looking to improve his position.

Jackman is nestled in close to Mendes, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mendes pushes Jackman off looking to stand but Jackman dives back in and keeps control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jackman gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Mendes takes the fight into the clinch.

Mendes lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Mendes is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jackman pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Mendes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Mendes stuffs the takedown attempt from Jackman. Jackman gets slowly back to his feet.
Jackman has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Mendes drops Jackman with a beautiful combination! Jackman stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mendes is looking for the KO!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mendes seems to be stalking Jackman here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Jackman drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
