Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez comes to the cage accompanied by Megadeth-Trust. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex Ramirez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Silva! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramirez throws a right and a left that both miss. Silva swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ramirez counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Silva! Ramirez controlling the pace for now. Ramirez misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Ramirez stands up from mount. Strange move. Silva throws a combination that misses and Ramirez counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ramirez trying to pass the guard but Silva defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramirez controlling the action here. Ramirez is trying to control. Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Ramirez performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Ramirez tries to pass the half guard into mount. Silva knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Silva trying to control from the bottom.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ramirez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ramirez in particular looking to stall. Ramirez wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Alex Ramirez. Silva falls off balance throwing a combination
so Ramirez counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Ramirez trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramirez sitting in guard here, content to control. Silva keeping moving, preventing Ramirez from controlling successfully. Ramirez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ramirez pushes down on Silva's leg and manages to get into half guard. Ramirez sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Silva blocking the ground and pound attempt from Ramirez. Silva wants to improve his position but Ramirez is controlling well.

and Ramirez moves into the clinch. Silva is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Ramirez prevents a body shot from Silva. A short uppercut from Silva. A nice left hand lands by Ramirez.

Ramirez pulls guard. Silva preventing the sweep. Silva is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ramirez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ramirez has escaped and now he's on top! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ramirez tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard.

Ramirez wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ramirez stands up and waves to Silva to follow him. Silva looks to land a combination but Ramirez avoids it well. Ramirez dodges the punch combination from Silva.
Alex Ramirez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ramirez avoids the body shot from Silva.
Dan Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Silva lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Silva.
It looks like Alex Ramirez has been cut. Silva misses with a double jab
and Ramirez counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Silva is lucky that one didn't land flush. Silva fails to land with a series of punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramirez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ramirez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ramirez tries to control but Silva wriggling away. Silva is controlling an arm, preventing Ramirez from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramirez wants to control the action but instead Silva gets a body lock and reverses into Ramirez's guard! Nice work! Silva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ramirez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silva, into his guard. Ramirez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Alex Ramirez will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Alex Ramirez's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Ramirez has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Silva clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Ramirez trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Silva doesn't escape. Silva controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Ramirez lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramirez keeps control of the position easily here as Silva tries to buck him off.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Ramirez has the hooks in. Silva is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. I would not like to be Silva right now.
Ramirez is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Silva defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Silva is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Ramirez tightening his grip on Silva, looking for the choke.

Dan Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ramirez trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Silva doesn't escape. Silva just trying to survive but Ramirez is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ramirez working for a choke but Silva is defending well.
And that's the end of the fight! Alex Ramirez showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ramirez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
