The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baker jabbing away but nothing is landing. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Pelletier checks a leg kick. Pelletier lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Tyler Baker has been cut. Pelletier bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Baker swings for the body but Pelletier moves out of range.
Pelletier misses with a series of wild punches.
A swing and a miss from Baker. Baker throws a jab but it's blocked by Pelletier. Pelletier ducks under a wild hook from Baker. Baker throws a jab when Pelletier was well out of range. Baker connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Pelletier misses with a few strikes there.
Baker is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pelletier. Tyler Baker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pelletier connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Baker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pelletier moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Baker avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pelletier closes the distance and clinches.

Pelletier scores with a nice hook to the head. Baker has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Baker tries to throw a body punch but Pelletier avoids it by throwing Baker back against the cage. Baker misses with a body punch.

Pelletier content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Baker takes a shot to the head. Pelletier manages to break the clinch.
Baker moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. A swing and a miss from Baker. Baker feints and then cracks Pelletier's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pelletier down. Pelletier lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Baker is rocked! Pelletier gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Oh Baker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Pelletier breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pelletier has taken the fight to the clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Pelletier breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pelletier lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Baker falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
