Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zoe Washburne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Blue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Zoe Washburne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, John Blue!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washburne moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Washburne!
Washburne misses with a wild combination.

Blue decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Blue throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Blue winds up and cracks Washburne with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Washburne on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Blue not doing much here.
Blue has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Blue looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Washburne with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Blue is nestled in close to Washburne, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Washburne wants to improve his position but Blue is controlling well.

Washburne is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Blue scores with a couple of nice shots.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blue sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Washburne defending well though.
Blue looks gassed!

Blue is working for a submission of some sort.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Blue in particular looking to stall.

Washburne won't allow Blue to pass to mount.
Blue seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Washburne does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Washburne wants to get back to his feet.
Blue passes to side control.
Blue advances to full mount.
Blue lands a big shot there that rocks Washburne but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

It looks like Zoe Washburne has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Washburne is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Oh Washburne is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Blue throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Blue looking to ground and pound but Washburne is blocking nicely.

Blue thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Washburne wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Blue.
Washburne knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blue on the ground.
Washburne blocking the ground and pound.
Poor strikes thrown by Blue there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Washburne is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Blue throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Blue misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Washburne seems to have got his legs back now.

Blue jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Washburne manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Blue trying to control the position but Washburne is working away.

The ground and pound from Blue seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Blue slows the pace down.
Blue lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Washburne trying to remain calm as Blue controls from the top position.
Blue working the head with strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Blue controls the position from side control.
Blue looks up at the clock and then as Washburne takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Blue smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Blue dominated that round.

That's time! Back to the action!


Washburne throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Washburne throws a nice looking combination but Blue bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Washburne, right into the meat.
Blue blocks the body kick.
Washburne chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Washburne is looking to clinch but Blue is avoiding it.

Blue closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Blue advances to mount.
Blue controlling from mount.
Washburne wants to try and get back to his feet.
Blue lands a nice shot to the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Blue with the ground and pound from mount.
John Blue has got the better of the ground game so far.

Blue looking to control and managing it successfully.
Blue looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Washburne tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Blue with shots to the head and body - Washburne looks very uncomfortable down there.
Washburne is in all sorts of trouble here.
Washburne takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Blue lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Blue avoids the attempt from Washburne to control.
Blue raining down shots from the mount!

Blue has isolated one of Washburne's arms. Washburne looking to fight him off but Blue twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
