Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between romeo aguilar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rahj Tirado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tirado has chosen Heroes to us as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
aguilar fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tirado shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Tirado was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tirado working for a submission but aguilar is keeping him at bay.
aguilar is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

aguilar is squirming around, avoiding Tirado's attempts to control the action.
aguilar tries to buck Tirado off but he can't manage it.
Poor strikes thrown by Tirado there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tirado goes for an armbar but aguilar turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from aguilar.
aguilar stands up from Tirado's guard - aguilar perhaps looking for a knockout.

Tirado is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in aguilar's half guard.
Tirado thows a huge punch but aguilar dodges it nicely.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tirado wants to pass the guard but aguilar is defending well.
aguilar kicks Tirado off and gets back to his feet.
Tirado scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Tirado throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

and Tirado decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in aguilar's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tirado drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and aguilar dives on top into guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

aguilar decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tirado, up you get!
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
aguilar doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Tirado counters with a shoot takedown. aguilar fights it but they end up in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rahj Tirado showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
aguilar gets caught flat footed, as Tirado shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tirado drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but aguilar manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tirado has aguilar in his guard.
Tirado is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Tirado controls aguilar momentarily but aguilar frees himself.

aguilar would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Tirado wants to stand but aguilar is controlling the position.

Tirado manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. aguilar manages to get himself to full guard.

Tirado is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tirado is looking to work some ground and pound but aguilar has wrist control.

Rahj Tirado comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tirado has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
