Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tsatsu Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tsatsu Gomi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Anderson Drake!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi keeps the fight on the outside.
Gomi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Drake is fending him off so far but Gomi persists. Nope, Drake circles away and we're back to standing.
Drake throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Drake misses with a body kick.
Drake throws a sloppy head kick and Gomi moves out of range easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Drake.
Drake tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gomi paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Drake fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Gomi is out of range.
Gomi fails with the takedown.
Drake shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Anderson Drake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gomi feints and as Drake raises his hands in defense, Gomi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Drake has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Gomi really is a fat lump.
Drake is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Drake looks to land a body kick but Gomi moved away.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Drake throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gomi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Gomi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Drake tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Drake prevents Gomi from moving into mount.

Gomi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Gomi is breathing heavily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Drake is looking to clinch but Gomi is avoiding it.
Drake throws a leg kick but Gomi checks it.
Gomi has a takedown stuffed.

Drake tries a head kick but it misses.
Drake misses with a kick to the body.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Drake tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gomi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Gomi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Gomi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gomi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Drake is looking to reverse the position.

Gomi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Drake can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Drake sneaks back into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tsatsu Gomi will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Gomi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Drake tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gomi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Drake throws a wild body kick that Gomi sees coming a mile off.
Drake misses with a head kick.
Drake stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tsatsu Gomi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gomi circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Drake misses with a head kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Gomi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Drake connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Gomi looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Drake!

Gomi goes for an armbar but Drake turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Drake.

Gomi has his foot on Drake's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Drake works his way back into a safe position though.

Gomi had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Drake is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gomi Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Drake's back instead.

Gomi looking to break Drake's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Drake remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Gomi will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Gomi is working for a rear naked choke. Drake is not defending it well and Gomi has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Drake refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Drake's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tsatsu Gomi!
