PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Valentino Rosso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manning North (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Manning North was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
North avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
North keeps the fight on the outside.
Rosso moves in looking to clinch but North pushes him off.
North tries to clinch there but Rosso circles away.

North scores a takedown into full mount!
Rosso working to try and regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

North is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rosso has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rosso!
North has momentary wrist control but Rosso slips an elbow through the middle.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rosso lands a nice short elbow.

Rosso is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so North is just riding it out for now. Rosso eventually gives up the hold.
North wants to control but Rosso is keeping busy and won't allow it.
North looks gassed!

Rosso is nestled in close to North, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rosso connects with a nice short shot to North's temple.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rosso cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rosso is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Rosso extends the arm and North is forced to tap!
