Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frederik Kraus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jesse Taylor could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Frederik Kraus's chin.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jesse Taylor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frederik Kraus! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Kraus. Taylor does a little dance to reset his feet. Kraus throws a solid leg kick but Taylor takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kraus. Kraus throws and low kick but Taylor moves out of range easily. Kraus throws a nice looking combination but Taylor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. No luck for Taylor with that takedown attempt. Taylor feints and as Kraus raises his hands in defense, Taylor changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kraus trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Kraus is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kraus looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Taylor tries to free his leg and advance position but Kraus is retaining full guard. Kraus wants to sweep but no luck. Taylor advances position into side control! Taylor looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kraus is avoiding damage well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Horrible takedown by Taylor or perhaps it was just good defense by Kraus which made him look bad. Taylor misses with a takedown attempt - Kraus sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesse Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kraus walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Taylor checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. No luck with that takedown attempt from Taylor.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kraus closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Kraus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Taylor shoots in but Kraus avoids the takedown attempt easily. Taylor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kraus's waist but Kraus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Taylor off to one side. Kraus tries to close the distance and clinch up but Taylor swats him away and circles back towards the center. Taylor shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kraus's guard. Kraus is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Taylor is controlling him. Taylor landing some decent shots from guard. Kraus wants to sweep but no luck. Taylor wants to control from the top but Kraus keeps moving. Kraus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Taylor circles away quickly and effectively. Taylor scores with a takedown into Kraus's guard. Taylor passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Kraus tries to roll over but Taylor keeps him under control. Taylor wants to control but Kraus is keeping him busy.

Kraus is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Taylor's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Taylor's back! Kraus throwing damaging strikes from the back! Taylor could be in trouble here!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor trying to control the position from guard on top but Kraus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Taylor is in close to Kraus's body, working some short punches and elbows. Taylor thows a big elbow that misses.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Taylor shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kraus as he avoids it easily. Kraus slaps away a takedown attempt from Taylor, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kraus throws a series of punches but Taylor avoids them all with ease. Taylor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kraus circles away. Kraus attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Taylor shoots in but no luck this time. The fight moves into the clinch position. Kraus breaks the clinch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Taylor has a takedown stuffed. Taylor is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kraus.
It looks like Jesse Taylor has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kraus waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Taylor. Taylor fails to land the takedown. Kraus stalks Taylor and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Taylor's face. Taylor staggers backwards, shaken.

He used the ropes to his advantage there. Taylor letting Kraus take a breather here. Kraus digs a right hand into Taylor's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Taylor's gas tank. Taylor is trying to control the action in half guard but Kraus is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kraus taking some punishment here, with Taylor in his half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kraus can do anything to dispel that myth. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Kraus throws a lazy right hand but Taylor sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kraus lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
