Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randy Esguerra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Pacquiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Esguerra's entrance music is BoBoBo - Baka Survivor. A fine choice. Pacquiao is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pacquiao doesn't manage to clinch there - Esguerra circles away.
Esguerra has a takedown stuffed.
Esguerra tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pacquiao paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Esguerra dodges the punch combination from Pacquiao.

Esguerra has managed to clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Pacquiao takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Pacquiao breaks from the clinch.
Esguerra tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pacquiao sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Esguerra somewhat.

and Esguerra counters with a big head kick but Pacquiao shrugs it off.

Pacquiao wants to stand and escape but Esguerra is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Esguerra tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pacquiao sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Esguerra somewhat.

Esguerra seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Pacquiao wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Esguerra manages to pass to side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Esguerra is looking to clinch but Pacquiao is avoiding it.
Esguerra shoots in looking for a takedown. Pacquiao tries to sprawl out of it but Esguerra keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pacquiao manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Pacquiao tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Esguerra is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Pacquiao throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pacquiao is trying to escape back to his feet but Esguerra uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Pacquiao really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Esguerra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Pacquiao bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Pacquiao doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Esguerra counters with a head kick. That will keep Pacquiao thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Esguerra decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Esguerra tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Pacquiao is staying active underneath Esguerra, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

and Pacquiao counters with a left and a right that stings Esguerra.
Pacquiao scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The fight stays on the outside here - Pacquiao looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pacquiao misses with a wild combination.
Pacquiao misses with a jab, cross combination.
Esguerra shoots in for a takedown but Pacquiao shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

A frustrated look appears on Pacquiao's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Esguerra is looking to break free of the clinch but Pacquiao has double underhooks.

Pacquiao breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Esguerra decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pacquiao's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Pacquiao shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pacquiao was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Esguerra wants to hold on but Pacquiao pushes him away.
Pacquiao throwing strikes but Esguerra recovers to half guard. A much better position.
Esguerra tries to get to full guard but Pacquiao has control of the leg.
Manny Pacquiao has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Randy Esguerra is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Esguerra wants to control but Pacquiao is keeping busy and won't allow it.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Randy Esguerra.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Esguerra, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
