Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Browne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Browne has a takedown stuffed.

Stevens shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stevens advances to half guard.
Stevens is trying to control. Browne wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Stevens tries to move to mount but Browne blocks the move with his legs.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Browne is looking to regain half guard here but Stevens keeps moving and retains side control.
Stevens tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Browne is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stevens sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Stevens tries to bum rush Browne with a series of wild strikes but Browne uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Stevens takes the fight into the clinch.
Browne jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stevens walks away with a smile on his face. Browne gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Rocky Stevens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon Browne.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Browne is trying to force a seperation but Stevens has the dominant position.

Stevens breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Stevens throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Browne's head.

Stevens shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Stevens showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Browne makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Simon Browne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stevens throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Browne.
Browne looks to land a combination but Stevens avoids it well.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Stevens, right into the meat.

Browne tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stevens knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Browne accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Stevens is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Stevens stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Browne swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Browne escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stevens gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Stevens postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Browne is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Stevens, into his guard.

Browne is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Browne postures up and lands a big shot to Stevens's brow.
Stevens wants to sweep here but Browne controlling him for the moment.
Stevens utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Browne in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Browne tries to free his leg and advance position but Stevens is retaining full guard.

Browne drops back, looking for a kneebar! Stevens looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Stevens looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Stevens!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Stevens thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Simon Browne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Stevens's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Stevens changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Browne looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Stevens is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Browne still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Browne has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Browne has an Americana. Stevens didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Browne is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Browne hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
