Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bill Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Greyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bill Carson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bill Carson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dick Greyson! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carson fails to land the takedown. Carson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Greyson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bill Carson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Greyson fails in his attempt to clinch. Greyson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Greyson stands up. Carson fails with the takedown and Greyson counters with a head kick. Carson tries for a takedown but Greyson circles away easily and Greyson counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Greyson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Carson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Greyson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Greyson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Carson is breathing heavily. Carson drops back looking for a leg! Greyson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Greyson manages to kick Carson off! Carson jumps back into Greyson's guard. Greyson keeping moving, preventing Carson from controlling successfully. Greyson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Carson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Greyson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Carson's back instead. Carson is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Carson turns into Greyson and is now in his guard.
Carson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Carson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Greyson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carson manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Greyson wants to stand and escape but instead Carson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Greyson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Carson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Carson wants to control from the top but Greyson keeps moving. Greyson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Carson has passed into side control.
Greyson wants to get back to his feet but Carson drags him back down. Greyson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Greyson wants to get back to his feet but Carson drags him back down. Greyson regains half guard there - taking advantage of Carson's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Greyson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carson wants to work for an arm triangle but Greyson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Carson is working for a kimura but Greyson is defending it quite comfortably.
Greyson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Greyson tries to kick Carson off in order to stand up. Carson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Carson controls the position. Greyson is looking for a sweep. Carson works to advance to full mount. Greyson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Carson takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Greyson turns into Carson and is now in his guard.
Greyson wants to pass the guard but Carson is keeping the position. Carson is looking for a triangle but Greyson pushes his legs off easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Greyson is looking to stand up but Carson won't let him. Greyson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Carson dives on top into guard. Greyson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Carson misses with a takedown and Greyson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Greyson scores with a shot to the side of Carson's head. Greyson lands a nice knee to the body. Carson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Greyson uses from the top position. Carson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Carson is trying to keep Greyson in close.
Greyson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Carson is proving hard to escape from. Carson keeping full guard, as Greyson tries to pass. Carson is looking for a triangle but Greyson pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bill Carson will probably get the nod. That's time! Carson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Greyson misses with a knee to the head. Carson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Greyson is trying to improve his position. Carson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Greyson, who protects the arm well. Greyson tries to bench press Carson off him but Carson keeps the position. Greyson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Carson asserts his dominance and retains side control. Greyson gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Carson quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Carson but it's paid off an Greyson is forced to tap! Nice work by Carson.
