Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Guy Barandiaran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giurgous Tsotes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barandiaran comes into the arena with Sanitarium by Metallica blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barandiaran fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Barandiaran throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Barandiaran throws a hook but Tsotes blocks it.
Barandiaran tries to bum rush Tsotes with a series of wild strikes but Tsotes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Barandiaran jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Barandiaran looks to land a left hand but Tsotes moved out of range nicely.
Barandiaran keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Barandiaran throws a hook to the side of Tsotes's head but Tsotes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barandiaran drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Tsotes is trying to control Barandiaran's posture but Barandiaran avoids it.

Tsotes gets back to half guard.
Barandiaran misses with a head shot. Tsotes uses the momentum to regain guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Tsotes wants to sweep but no luck.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Barandiaran shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Well, if Barandiaran is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Tsotes tries for a takedown but Barandiaran circles away easily
and Barandiaran counters with a single leg into guard. Tsotes didn't expect that.

Tsotes is refusing to be controlled, as Barandiaran sits in half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Guy Barandiaran.

Tsotes regains half guard, as Barandiaran was trying to land strikes.
Tsotes manages to get to full guard.

Barandiaran tries to free his leg and advance position but Tsotes is retaining full guard.

Tsotes controls Barandiaran momentarily but Barandiaran frees himself.

Tsotes tries for a takedown but Barandiaran circles away easily
and Barandiaran counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tsotes won't be happy with that.
Barandiaran grinds an elbow into Tsotes's temple.

Barandiaran is looking to take a break and control but Tsotes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Barandiaran postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Barandiaran is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tsotes knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Barandiaran goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Tsotes rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Barandiaran's guard! Nice work there by Tsotes!
Giurgous Tsotes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Guy Barandiaran is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Barandiaran can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tsotes controls the pace.

Well Barandiaran has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
