Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ravi Raja!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, jeremey Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Raja checks a leg kick.
Raja lands a nice looking body shot.
Raja closes this distance looking for a takedown but Johnson circles away.
A nice combination there by Raja.
Raja blocks a jab.

Raja closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Johnson did well to prevent Raja getting side control.
Raja tries to pass the half guard into mount. Johnson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Raja thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnson's head.
Raja wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy.

Raja takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Raja is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ravi Raja.
Raja tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Raja looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Johnson throws a head kick but Raja moves out of range.
Raja lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Johnson circles away quickly and effectively.

Raja drives through with a takedown into guard.
Raja is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Johnson keeping moving, preventing Raja from controlling successfully.

Raja seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Johnson swings away with a body shot that misses
and Raja cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Raja shoots in and bounces Johnson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Raja controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Raja is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control.
Raja trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Raja stands up over Johnson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Raja controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Raja trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ravi Raja.
Raja throws a series of punches but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson misses with a leg kick.
Raja shoots in but no luck this time.

Raja shoots in for a double leg but Johnson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Johnson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Raja.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ravi Raja. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johnson avoids the body shot from Raja.
Raja throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease.
Raja misses with a double jab.
Johnson slips a jab and a cross from Raja.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Raja closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Raja misses with a two punch combination.
Raja connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Raja connects with a jab.
Raja looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Raja checks a leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Raja closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Johnson to the mat! Johnson manages to get full guard.
Raja throws a big right hand that misses.
Raja is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Raja controls from within his opponent's guard.
Raja wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
Raja postures up in Johnson's guard and throws a big left but Johnson blocks it.

Raja pushing down on Johnson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Raja content to control rather than advance.
Johnson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Nice strikes from Raja there.
Raja throwing shots but Johnson is blocking nicely.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Raja working over Johnson with some ground and pound. Johnson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Johnson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Raja perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Johnson is trying to stand back up but Raja is controlling him
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Raja looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Raja takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Raja has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Raja is landing with some decent strikes but Johnson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Raja lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Ravi Raja showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Raja has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
