Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown tries to close the distance and clinch but Gracie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Gracie drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brown pulls his leg out and moves away.

Gracie attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Brown bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Brown is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Brown tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but Brown is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage.

Brown really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Brown looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gracie looks to land a right hand but Brown moved out of range.
Gracie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Gracie throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Gracie wants to take a breather but Brown manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Gracie.

Brown has his foot on Gracie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gracie works his way back into a safe position though.

Brown pulls Gracie in close to prevent any damage.
Brown controls Gracie momentarily but Gracie frees himself.
Brown has his feet on Gracie's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Brown fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gracie, pushing him back against the cage.
Gracie can't get the takedown.
Brown prevents a takedown attempt there.
Mark Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Defoe Gracie.
Brown has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gracie uses from the top position.
Brown is looking for a triangle but Gracie pushes his legs off easily.

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Brown has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brown is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mark Brown will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Gracie darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Brown pushes Gracie off looking to stand but Gracie dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brown is trying to get back to full guard.
Gracie is trying to control the action in half guard but Brown is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Gracie is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Brown is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Defoe Gracie!
