Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ed Sterns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dusty Dave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dusty Dave was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ed Sterns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dusty Dave! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sterns closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Dave is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Sterns tries to pass the half guard into mount. Dave knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Dave is not content to let Sterns control the position. Dave is trying to stand back up but Sterns is controlling him
Sterns performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Sterns is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Dave reverses the position - he's now on top in Sterns's guard. Sterns is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dave tries to free his leg and advance position but Sterns is retaining full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Sterns throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dave's waist but Dave gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sterns off to one side. Sterns fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dave manages to avoid it. Sterns misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dave drives through with a takedown into guard. Dave seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Dave gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Sterns wants to clinch. Dave with a lazy takedown attempt and Sterns counters by clinching up. Dave misses with a punch to the body.
Sterns jumps guard and drags Dave to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Sterns manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Sterns throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Dave because Sterns loaded up on that one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dave wants to hold on but Sterns pushes him away. Dave has given up his back. Will we see Sterns going for some submissions?
Good control from Sterns. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dave breaks Sterns's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Sterns has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dave can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Dave looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Dave wanted to stand there but Sterns had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sterns tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sterns working a defensive guard here.
Sterns controlling the position. Dave wants to pass the guard but Sterns is keeping the position. Sterns thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Dave trying to control the position from guard on top but Sterns is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dave tries to clinch there but Sterns circles away.
Dave wants to clinch and Sterns decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dave's guard. Sterns wants to control from the top but Dave keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dave manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Dave throwing strikes here but Sterns is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Sterns is in all sorts of trouble here.
Sterns is breathing heavily. Dave looking to control and managing it successfully. I looks like Dave might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ed Sterns dominated that round. That's time! Sterns's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dave ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sterns moves away. Sterns rushes Dave and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Dave wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Sterns jumps guard but Dave stands there with Sterns around his waist. Sterns gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Dave throws an elbow but misses. Dave has had enough of the clinch but Sterns keeps him there for the moment. Dave taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Dave fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Sterns tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dave smiles and moves away.
Dusty Dave seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A head kick misses from Sterns. Sterns looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Dave is looking to clinch but Sterns is avoiding it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sterns shoots and misses and Dave counters with a nice double leg into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ed Sterns. That's going to take a lot out of him. It looks like Dave is going to stand back up.
Dave is looking to stall here but Sterns recovers full guard. Dave wants to stand but Sterns has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Sterns is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sterns has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dave can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dave keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sterns's head.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dave drives through and clinches with Sterns against the cage.

Sterns looking to sit in guard and control but Dave gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Dave pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sterns is keeping the position for now. Dave controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Dave stands up and waves to Sterns to follow him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sterns tries to clinch but fails miserably and Dave moves into the clinch. Sterns pulls Dave into guard.
Dave tries to free his leg and advance position but Sterns is retaining full guard. Sterns working for a triangle but Dave defends it easily.

Dave doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dave manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dave controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Sterns has control of Dave's left arm, preventing Dave from doing any damage. Dave works a leg free and moves into half guard. Dave trying to control the pace. Dave wants to stand up but Sterns has a hold of him and won't allow it. Dave seems to be looking for submissions.
Sterns is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Dave pulls his head out easily. Sterns wants to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dusty Dave showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Dave thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sterns's head. Sterns is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dave's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dave's back! Dave prevents Sterns from getting a body triangle. Sterns is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Dave knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Dave for a finish. Sterns tightening his grip on Dave, looking for the choke. Dave wants to control his opponent's hands but Sterns gets his hands free.

Dave takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Dave is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Even with his hooks in, Sterns manages to miss with strikes from the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sterns is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Dave is rocked! Sterns scores with strikes from the back.
Dave is still in real trouble! Can Sterns finish him? Sterns working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dave defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Sterns's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Sterns is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Dave is defending well though. Sterns let's go of the attempt for now. Dave defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Sterns's arms.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sterns thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Dave is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Sterns is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Dave has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Dave fending off the submission attempt from Sterns. Sterns missing with strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Dusty Dave comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dave has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
