Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
do Santo Cristo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carwin tries to avoid it but do Santo Cristo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carwin to the ground. Carwin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
do Santo Cristo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carwin as he jumps to the side.
Carwin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. do Santo Cristo was covering up waiting for the punch and Carwin finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Carwin won't allow do Santo Cristo to sweep him here.
do Santo Cristo is working hard here to advance position.
do Santo Cristo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
do Santo Cristo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Carwin knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

do Santo Cristo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Carwin looks a forlorn figure.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carwin can do anything to dispel that myth.

You get the feeling that Carwin really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Carwin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with do Santo Cristo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Carwin tries to lock up and control but do Santo Cristo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
