Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Wolfe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leonard Wolfe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roger Silva!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wolfe manages to avoid it.
Wolfe lands with an overhand left.

Silva gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wolfe defends well.
Wolfe working some strikes from top position.
Wolfe scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Wolfe throws a strike but Silva rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wolfe is pulling down on Silva's head to control his posture.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Wolfe seems keen to control Silva's posture.

Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Silva drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wolfe dives on top into guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Wolfe keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Silva's head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wolfe trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Silva utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Wolfe would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leonard Wolfe dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Wolfe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Wolfe persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wolfe takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Wolfe is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wolfe missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Silva won't allow Wolfe to pass to mount.
Wolfe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.

Silva is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wolfe pulls his head out easily.
Wolfe trying to advance position but Silva counters by regaining guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Wolfe wants to get up but he can't break Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Wolfe wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
Wolfe has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Wolfe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Wolfe has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva is bucking up trying to escape but Wolfe cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Wolfe lands with some strikes.


It looks like Roger Silva has been cut.
BOOM! Wolfe connects with a massive shot to the dome!


Silva is rocked!
Wolfe connects with a bit shot that sees Silva covering up! More strikes from Wolfe and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Wolfe is our winner by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leonard Wolfe!
