Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jamil Baliw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and andrew meclhor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baliw throws the left hand but meclhor avoids the punch easily.
Baliw throws a nice looking combination but meclhor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
meclhor displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Baliw throws out the jab.
Baliw lands a jab to meclhor's midsection.
meclhor tries to clinch there but Baliw circles away.
Baliw shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
meclhor fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Baliw sprawls well initially but meclhor persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

meclhor wants to pass to mount but Baliw is defending the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Despite being in the dominant position, andrew meclhor just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jamil Baliw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and meclhor counters with a nice double leg into side control. Baliw won't be happy with that.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
meclhor decides to stand up, so the ref orders Baliw to his feet.
Baliw misses with a straight left.
meclhor closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Baliw to the mat! Baliw manages to get full guard.
