Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Quintero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Omaly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Omaly is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Outside - To Forgive but not Forget . Carlos Quintero has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carlos Quintero! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Omaly! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quintero stuffs the takedown attempt from Omaly. Omaly gets slowly back to his feet. Quintero scores with a head kick.
Quintero throws a nice looking combination but Omaly bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Omaly looks for a takedown but Quintero sprawls well. Quintero lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Omaly on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Quintero darts in and clinches Omaly up against the cage. Quintero gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Omaly.
Carlos Quintero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Omaly. Quintero lands with a right to the head. Omaly is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Omaly is working for takedown but Quintero is calmly controlling the position for now. Quintero has clasped his hands together around Omaly's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Omaly tries to improve position but can't. Quintero working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Omaly tries to get back to half guard but can't. Quintero connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Omaly some visible discomfort.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Quintero lands some shots froms side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Omaly's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Omaly tries to improve position but can't. Omaly looks gassed! Quintero looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Omaly is looking to regain half guard here but Quintero keeps moving and retains side control. Quintero working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Omaly is trying to get back to half guard. Quintero looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Quintero working the ground and pound but Omaly is defending the strikes. Quintero is working to tighten is grip on Omaly's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Omaly has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Quintero is really squeezing tight and eventually Omaly passes out! Quintero breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
