Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Slayton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Carrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carrey has chosen When the man comes around - Johnny Cash as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Slayton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Carrey!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carrey tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Slayton swivels and escapes.
Slayton takes a swing at Carrey's ribcage but misses.
Slayton misses with a wild combination.
Slayton throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Slayton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Carrey.
Slayton throws a one two combo.
Slayton misses with a wild combination.
Carrey bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Andrew Slayton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A big right from Slayton misses.
Carrey shoots in and drives through. Slayton sprawls well.
Carrey tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Slayton swivels and escapes.

Slayton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carrey manages to avoid it.

Carrey shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Slayton as he avoids it easily.
Carrey shoots in and drives through. Slayton sprawls well.

Slayton lands a body shot.
Slayton throws a hook but Carrey blocks it.
Slayton clobbers Carrey with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Carrey shoots in but no luck this time.
Slayton throws out a loose jab but Carrey uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Slayton throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Slayton misses the shot to the body.
Carrey slips under a jab.
Carrey fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Carrey on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Slayton connects with a jab.
Slayton looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Andrew Slayton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice uppercut there from Slayton.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carrey fails with the takedown.
A punch combination from Slayton misses.

Carrey shoots in for a takedown but Slayton shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Slayton throws a series of punches but Carrey moves out of range.
Some wild striking there from Slayton.
Slayton pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Carrey moves away from the strike by Slayton.
Slayton throws a nice looking combination but Carrey bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Slayton waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Carrey.
Slayton misses with a two punch combination.
Slayton throws a series of punches but Carrey moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Carrey or perhaps it was just good defense by Slayton which made him look bad.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Carrey closes the distance and clinches up with Slayton, looking for a takedown. Carrey pushes Slayton against the cage but Slayton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Slayton stalks Carrey and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Carrey's face. Carrey staggers backwards, shaken.
Slayton throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Slayton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Carrey walks into a left hand.
Slayton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Slayton misses with a jab, cross combination.
Carrey blocks a jab.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Slayton looks to throw the jab but Carrey is out of range.

Carrey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Slayton looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Carrey has an Americana. Slayton didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Carrey is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Carrey hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jim Carrey!
