Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Everth Cabaret (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JT Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Everth Cabaret! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, JT Carter! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A leg kick checked by Cabaret. Carter tries to clinch there but Cabaret circles away.
Cabaret avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Carter misses with the combination.
Cabaret takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Carter wants to clinch up but Cabaret keeps it at a distance. Carter throws an overhand right that lands on Cabaret's shoulder, as Cabaret tries to avoid the shot. Carter throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Cabaret gets a takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Cabaret not landing any meaningful shots this time. Cabaret is just content to waste time from the top position. Carter takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Carter working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabaret working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cabaret is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Carter is pulling down on Cabaret's head. It's preventing any offense from Cabaret, at least for the moment. Cabaret looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Cabaret trying to control but Carter is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cabaret postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cabaret is fighting to break Carter's control of his arms but Carter is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Carter avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cabaret stopping the sweep attempt from Carter. Cabaret content to stall in guard here. Cabaret looking to pass the guard. Carter keeping moving, preventing Cabaret from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Cabaret dives in and grabs Carter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carter pushes down on Cabaret's head and hops out. A jab from Carter misses. Carter misses with a low kick. Carter throws a right and a left that Cabaret avoids nicely. Nice takedown defense from Carter. No joy for Cabaret on that attempt. Carter throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Carter throws an overhand right that lands on Cabaret's shoulder, as Cabaret tries to avoid the shot. Cabaret checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Cabaret darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Carter blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cabaret. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but JT Carter will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Carter gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Cabaret trying to control the position from guard on top but Carter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cabaret postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cabaret trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cabaret throws and elbow that misses. Carter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cabaret's guard. Nice move by Carter! Cabaret wants to sweep here but Carter controlling him for the moment. Carter wants to control from the top but Cabaret keeps moving. Carter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cabaret swivels though and keeps the full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Carter throws a series of punches but Cabaret moves out of range. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Carter, right into the meat.
Cabaret leaves Carter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Carter fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cabaret avoids it really well and circles away. JT Carter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. No luck with that takedown attempt from Cabaret. Carter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Cabaret fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Everth Cabaret. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cabaret looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Carter throws a low kick but it's checked well by Cabaret. Cabaret gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Carter makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carter connects with a high kick.
It looks like Everth Cabaret has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cabaret fails with the takedown and Carter counters with an outside leg kick.

JT Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cabaret throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carter's waist but Carter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cabaret off to one side. Carter throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Carter tries to close the distance and clinch but Cabaret swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cabaret shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Carter counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cabaret avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Carter misses with a takedown attempt - Cabaret sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Cabaret takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Cabaret blocks a leg kick. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Cabaret checks a leg kick. Carter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. JT Carter seems to be getting the better of the standup. Carter tries for a takedown but Cabaret circles away easily and Cabaret counters with a three punch combo that has Carter backing up. Carter nods at Cabaret to acknowledge the strikes. Cabaret misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Cabaret fails with a takedown attempt. Cabaret slips a jab from Carter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carter swinging wildly here.
Cabaret looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Cabaret shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Carter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cabaret is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cabaret looking to hit a scissor sweep but Carter is one step ahead there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carter trying to control the position from guard on top but Cabaret is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cabaret looking for a sweep. Not yet Cabaret, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
JT Carter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Everth Cabaret's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Carter throws a chopping leg kick but Cabaret manages to avoid taking any serious damage. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cabaret. Cabaret shoots in looking for a takedown. Carter tries to sprawl out of it but Cabaret keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Cabaret circles away from the clinch attempt.

Carter fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Cabaret is out of range. A combination from Cabaret does no damage. Carter lands with a thumping leg kick.

Carter throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Carter tries for a takedown but Cabaret circles away easily and Cabaret counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabaret looking to sit in guard and control but Carter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Carter wants to control from the top but Cabaret keeps moving. Cabaret avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carter accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Carter tries to free his leg and advance position but Cabaret is retaining full guard. Cabaret keeping moving, preventing Carter from controlling successfully. Carter loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Cabaret keeping moving, preventing Carter from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carter throws the kick towards the body but Cabaret avoids it. Everth Cabaret has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Cabaret throws a nice looking combination but Carter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Good standup being displayed there by Cabaret as he connects with a hook. Carter throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cabaret's head.
Everth Cabaret's cut is getting worse. Cabaret digs a good body shot into Carter's ribs. Carter throws a leg kick but Cabaret sees it coming and moves out of range. Carter gets in close and instigates a clinch. Cabaret pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Carter throws a leg kick but Cabaret sees it coming and checks it nicely. Carter throws a half hearted mid kick. Cabaret with a poor takedown and Carter counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Everth Cabaret. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cabaret sneaks back into half guard. Carter throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Cabaret's thigh. Cabaret counters though and makes it back to full guard. Carter trying to control the position from guard on top but Cabaret is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carter accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Everth Cabaret overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cabaret wants to sweep but no luck. Cabaret pulls Carter in close to his closed guard and prevents Carter from doing any damage or advancing position. Cabaret wants to sweep here but Carter controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cabaret avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Carter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Carter misses with a body kick. Carter goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Cabaret ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Carter looks to land a body kick but Cabaret moved away. Carter misses with a body punch
and Cabaret counters with a left to the body. Cabaret shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Carter is trying to defend but Cabaret finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Cabaret throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
And that's the end of the fight! JT Carter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Carter winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
